The New Year is off to a good start, after a very The New Year is off to a good start, after a very busy and full 2022! I have been busy with client projects and family life and haven’t gotten around to sharing all the fun projects that have been completed over the last year!! So I thought now is as good a time as any to start sharing all I’ve had the honor to work on this past year! (And maybe even before that!) A little Before & After post! This project was what I call a “Kitchen Re-Work” or a “Kitchen Re-fresh”…the main components and cabinets stayed but it needed an update, areas that needed re-working and a chance to match the rest of this beautiful home! 5 years ago this week, I relaunched Living Solutio 5 years ago this week, I relaunched Living Solutions Interior Design in my new hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska. When we moved from San Diego, I was leaving behind a loyal and loved clientele that I had been working with for many years, some in their second or third home. So many of my San Diego clients became dear friends and it was so difficult to leave that chapter in California to start a new one. I took time to have our fourth baby, get my family settled into our new life and just re-group. I still had a couple of clients throughout that first year of transition, but in the spring of 2017 I was ready to get back at it! It’s been a journey, that’s for sure. Anyone who owns their own business, of any size, knows that there are a lot of ups and downs. I’ve intentionally worked over the years to accommodate my growing family. When I started this business back in 2011, I had a 2 year old and an infant. 11 years later, it’s still just me over here at Living Solutions {with the help of amazing vendors, reps and salespeople who I truly depend on and appreciate!} but I’ve added another 2 kiddos to the mix and I’m busier than I think I’ve ever been with client projects. I even still get to work with past beloved San Diego clients ❤️ I love what I do. I love helping people make a functional, beautiful home that suits their lifestyle and what they envision. I love all the clients I have worked with over the years, so many who have become dear, dear friends. I feel so lucky & grateful that I get to do what I love! Thank you, Nebraska, for the first 5 years as a Lincoln business! I look forward to working with many more amazing clients in the years to come! Here’s to 5 years in Lincoln!

If you’ve been following me on stories, I’m su If you’ve been following me on stories, I’m sure you’ve seen all the de-cluttering and organizing I’ve been up to. I’ve been working through my house decluttering and organizing the last week and a half when I have time. (Check out the Home Reset highlight to catch up) I really, really want this to be the year that I accomplish my goal of going through every single room in our home and thoroughly de-cluttering. I kind of get half way through the process and the spaces I want to avoid (like our master closet, my office, and our storage room) get put on the back burner and another year rolls by without feeling like I truly have our home under control. So I’m following my own formula of what to tackle first as I hit each area of our house. 1.) FUNCTION 2.) ORDER & ORGANIZATION {this is the step I’m currently on} 3.) QUALITY of LIFE 4.) ALL THE PRETTY THINGS It’s way easier to get to all the pretty things once you don’t have so much stuff that’s crowding your space and clouding your vision for your home. Start with what’s working and what’s not working and then hit the gas on the de-cluttering so you can add that much needed order & organization into your home. You won’t regret it!! (Master Bathroom Remodel Project After & Before-it’s all on my blog and I shared a lot of the Afters in my stories today!)
